#Author/Poet, Writer. Patti enjoys writing "Personalized Poetry" which speaks to things about people's lives. She will write a personalized poem about an individual, or event, for a small fee and if you are not completely happy and satisfied with the poem there will be no charge.
Pat has written around forty five poems about deceased individuals that have been read at Funerals and Memorial Services.
Pat has published twelve books.
Her first book published in 2009 at the age of 80. #"The Climb Up Life's Mountain," (As shown in the picture here,) contains one hundred twenty two poems which are motivational and inspirational type poems. These are heartfelt messages about life's struggles and overcoming of adversities. Many have found these poems uplifting and inspiring.
Pat's second book #"Poems For Conservatives" was published in 2010. It contains cards and letters from three presidents and a First Lady, and the Queen of England, responding to poems Pat has written and sent to them. It contains Ronald Reagan's original signature which Pat obtained when attending a Real Estate Convention in San Francisco where she met him. Also, a letter from First Lady Laura Bush thanking Pat for a poem she wrote about Laura Bush. The book also contains copies of cards and letters from President Ronald Reagan, President George H. W. Bush, President George W. Bush.
Pat's third book #"My Journey As A Realtor," published in 2011, is about her experiences and information she gained over her fifty one years as a Realtor/Broker in the Real Estate Profession in Northern California, Bay Area. She relates her personal views, experiences and observations of the industry as memory serves her. The book also includes articles and poems Pat wrote that were published in the REAL TORO, SACAR REALTOR GUIDE and SACBOR TODAY by her Board of Realtors. It includes a picture of Pat when she was chosen "Miss Realtor of 1960."
Pat's fourth book, #"Honoring," published in 2013 contains poems about Honoring God, Honoring Country, Honoring Family and Honoring Friends.
Pat's fifth book, #"Poetry Breathes Life Into Bible Characters" was published in 2016. It contains ninety poems about lives of people/individuals in the bible from Abel to Zipporah. Included with each poem are scriptures where information can be found about each of these individuals. The reading of these poems is a great way for young people, or just anyone to learn more about people in the bible without having to search for information about each individual.
Pat's sixth book, #"Poems and Stories About Cats and Dogs and Various Critters" was published in February 2019. The title pretty much explains what the book is about. There are stories and poems Pat has written through the years about Pat's animals, plus pictures of the different cats and dogs. They are about the life of the pet and when some of them passed away. There are pictures of most of the pets. Hopefully, it will help young people and others deal with grief of their own pets death by reading about these animals
Pat's seventh book was published December 2021. #"The Best For Last." The book begins with fiction, then memoir, about portions of her life and ends with fiction. Pat began writing the book years ago. As her life progressed so did her book. It is about the effects of verbal and emotional abuse. Her advise is to get help or "get out."
Pat's eighth book was published August 26, 2022. It is a 2nd Addition of her #"Poems For Conservatives" book that she published in 2010. It contains political type poems.
Pat's ninth book #"All About Love" poems was published July 28, 2023. Every poem has the word "love" somewhere in the body of the poem.
Pat's tenth book is #"HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS And Much More." This book contains poems written all through the years from the nineteen eighties to end of 2023. Following some of the poems are pictures of different events, tables Pat set, and friends that attended her parties and "get togethers."
Pat's eleventh book is #"Life Lived In Poetry." This is a book of poems Pat wrote mostly in the nineteen-eighties and nineties and forward. The poems relate to some of Pat's failures and successes, losses, trials and wrong choices. Appropriate, the saying "Where you come from does not determine where you are going."
Pat's twelfth book was published 1/3/2025. #"Poverty's Child in Rhyme." This book contains poems Pat wrote mostly in nineteen-eighties and nineteen-nineties. It tells about Pat's young life, being born into poverty, and raised during the depression days. It tells about life's difficulties and losses, but with her determination and faith, she overcame those adversities. Pat has written over 2,200 poems and her plan is to get the poems all into books before she passes away and they are lost forever. At age ninety five, "Time is of the essence."
Pat's article re: named Miss Realtor of 1960, plus other pictures.
1/10
Pat writes "Personalized Poems" for "All Occasions." In "Honor of Others," in "Remembrance of Others," "In Memory of Others," Birthdays, Wedding, Memorial, Sympathy, Anniversary, Holidays, Political Poems and special events.
It brings her joy to use her "gift" to inspire others, to describe people's lives and memorable events in rhyme. These "stories" can be passed on to future generations.
Pat also writes poems for companies and organizations which can be used to advertise their products. Custom poetry that calls attention to their particular service being offered.
Jesus advised and taught us to "Use our Talents," not bury them, but to use them to be of help to others.
Patti's Personalized Poetry, portraying positive possibilities pertaining to past, and present, sometimes painful events. Poems for people, precious to you, poems that can be passed on, passionately, personally, written by Patti.

UNTIL JESUS CALLS
MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT
THERE ARE ONLY A FEW
IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS
FOR ME AND FOR YOU.
“MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES”
TIME, THERE’S NO WAY TO GET BACK
DON’T SPEND TIME ON TRIVIAL THINGS
OR MUCH TIME IN THE “SACK.”
WRITE YOUR LIFE’S STORY
DON’T LEAVE IT "WRITTEN IN THE WIND”
“DON’T BURN CANDLE AT BOTH ENDS”
IT’S IN YOUR HANDS MY FRIEND.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR LEGACY?
WHAT WILL YOUR TOMBSTONE READ?
WILL YOU PLANT BOUNTIFULLY?
AND NURTURE EACH PLANTED SEED.
DON’T “MILK THE SYSTEM”
“PULL YOUR OWN WEIGHT”
CONTRIBUTE YOUR TALENTS
ENTER OPPORTUNITIES GATE.
TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE
THERE IS NO TIME FOR BLAME
MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY DAY
UNTIL JESUS CALLS YOUR NAME.

MY POEMS
POEMS SEEM TO COME TO ME RIGHT OUT OF THE BLUE
CONSEQUENTLY I’VE WRITTEN QUITE A FEW.
SOME COME WHEN DRIVING OR IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
OR APPLYING MY MAKEUP IN THE MORNING BRIGHT.
NEVER KNOW WHEN ONE WILL ENTER MY MIND
ANY HOUR OF THE DAY ROOM IN MY THOUGHTS THEY FIND.
ALL SORTS OF SUBJECTS AND CHALLENGES FACED
BIRTHDAYS ANNIVERSARIES DREAMS I’VE CHASED.
STRANGE HOW THEY FLOW ONE LINE THEN ONE MORE
FROM MY HEART AND MY SOUL ALL THOSE THOUGHTS POUR.
EXPERIENCES ADVERSITIES HAVE IMPACTED MY WRITING
EVEN AS EACH DAY FOR SURVIVAL I KEEP FIGHTING.
I DON’T KNOW OR UNDERSTAND HOW CREATIVITY IS IGNITED
BUT HAPPY WHEN RECIPIENTS ARE TOTALLY DELIGHTED.
Pat was born and raised during the depression era. Most of her education came from the "School Of Hard Knocks." Her family moved from Texas to California when she was fourteen. She immediately found a job working for a Cake and Cookie Company in Oakland, California. She attended school four hours a day, and worked four hours a day, Saturdays, and summers. After graduating high school Pat worked full time at various jobs including modeling in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, Ca. Pat worked in the real estate profession for over fifty one years, obtaining her Broker's license in 1964. Through all the challenges and adversities she faced throughout the years her faith kept her going. Pat was baptized at age eleven and is a member of the Church of Christ.
Busy working all through the years Pat didn't start writing until about forty five years ago. She started jotting down remarks about how to be positive. Then, she started writing little poems. One of her first was about Ruth in the Bible. Since then Pat has written over 2,200 hundred poems. She had no formal education in writing.
WOW! My "personal approach." Poems just come into my head and I start writing. Many times I have awakened at two or three or four in the morning and jotted down poems. Or, if someone gives me information about the life of someone they know I just start writing a poem about that individual, about their life.
"""The Climb Up Life's Mountain""
This is a book of poems written over the years through different
challenges, problems, and losses. Pat's feelings and thoughts come through in her words and expressions. One such loss was the devastating loss of her mother who was killed by a drunk driver. Her mother was forty five years of age. At the same time her father and young sister were critically injured. Then there were the sad losses of her sister and only brother to cancer. There were overwhelming business losses and personal problems.
These life experiences are incorporated in her poetry.
Pat has had more than forty five of her poems read at Memorial and Funeral Services. She is published in Poetry.Com and they have put some of her work on CD's. She has had a number of articles and poems published in the "Real-toro" Magazine, SACBOR TODAY and S.A.C.A.R.. Realtor Guide, all real estate publications. Her poems have been used in Church Bulletins and published in a paper called "Mountain Talk."
Pat writes "Personalized Poetry" which tells about people's lives,
personal events, as well as Patriotic, Political, Religious poems,
motivational, inspirational, and poems on various other subjects.
She has had "thank you" responses to her poems from the
Queen of England, four different Presidents, two First Ladies, the owner of a large clothing store chain, as well as other
individuals."
Pat’s book “Poems For Conservatives,” published in 2010, contains poems, mostly in the political vein, most written the last few years as radicalism in Washington D. C. has shown it’s face in such a devastating manner. This type of Government is not what the people of America are about or what they stand for--the vote buying, back room deals, and lack of transparency. Pat's poems reveal her belief that this great country is being taken down a dangerous path, and needs to be stopped. It’s her opinion that if those presently in charge can get rid of the seniors through a Government run health care system that withholds valuable drugs and care and sends them to an early grave, they would have an open field to indoctrinate our youth who then would never know the great country previous generations have been privileged to know. Born into "humble beginnings" Pat has "always been proud of her country,” unlike Michele Obama who stated a number of times “for the first time in her adult life” she was “proud of her country.” The older generation is well aware of the price of freedom. They know about free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and dreaming big dreams. They know about failing. They know about determination. These things have made America great. Not the re-distribution of wealth, or big Government. Beliefs must be passed on about unlimited opportunities this country affords for those willing to work hard, pay their dues, and take advantage of the possibilities. Just get the Government out of the way. Pat feels we must pass on our Constitution, and values and pride in this country. We must pass on the America we have known. We can not allow any group to take away the rights our forefathers fought and died for and left in our care.
"This is a book about the life and experiences of Pat Morrell as a Realtor, and a real estate broker. On her long journey she spent over fifty one years in the real estate industry as an active agent.
She traveled through many valleys and over many mountains, experiencing challenges, losses, and trying times. It required faith, determination, and persistance.
There were constant, new experiences, and changes in the “market,” and the paper work requirements.
The book includes articles and poems Pat wrote that were published over the years in the Real Toro, Real Estate Guide, and SACBOR Today, by her real estate board. Some of the articles are “motivational,” and some are about the lives of Realtors, including President’s of her Board of Realtors.
Her book, “So You Want To Sell Real Estate” was started over thirty years ago, and never completed. Because of other obligations, and life’s challenges, it was filed away until just recently. Those pages are included in her book, as well as other miscellaneous, inspirational, motivational, and thought provoking articles and poems.
The “survivor’s” can take a trip down “memory lane," journeying back through the years."
"This is a book of poems by Pat Morrell-Donnelly about “Honoring God,”
“Honoring Family,” “Honoring Friends,” and “Honoring Country.” It is a very personal book, but she hopes readers will relate to the thoughts in her poems.
It is an attempt to pay homage to those that have touched her life in
their own special, unique way.
The dictionary states, “Honor is about respect, recognition, and esteem shown to others.” Reverence implies, “Profound respect mangled with love, devotion, or awe.”
Pat states, “For those of us that had loving parents, loving families,
and lifetime friends we have been greatly blessed. And to have been
born into an exceptional country like the U.S.A., even as a child of
the depression, knowing struggles and adversities, we still have been
doubly blessed.” She says, “Trials and challenges only made us
stronger. We believed if we wanted anything monetarily we had to work
for it. We never thought of relying on the government.”
Pat says, “Unlike some of our “citizens” today being brainwashed, we
were ALWAYS proud of our country. We believed in being responsible,
working hard to attain a better life, and always treating others as we
would like to be treated.”
“Honoring” is a book of poems about faith, hope and love and
inspirational and motivational thoughts. Also poems about her precious family, her loved ones and friends, and poems in memory of those that have “gone on before us.” Also poems of appreciation for our great country and those that have sacrificed and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Thoughts in these poems come from difficulties and challenges and
losses experienced while traveling her life’s journey and hopefully
they will touch the reader’s in a way to better equip them to face
their own challenges and adversities.
Strength derived from family and friends and Pat’s strong faith has
brought her through many difficult times and while she can’t speak to
“all” she is hoping through these poems she can show her appreciation
for the part many have played in her life. For these she will be
“forever grateful.”
Pat's fifth book, published in 2015, is a book of poems based on the lives of people in the Bible. She hopes these Bible poems will in some way bring to life information about each person, their faith, their strength, and for some, their failings. Just wherever the spirit has led her has been her way. She does not profess to be a Bible scholar. Her aim and hope is to use any talent she possesses to glorify God. She didn't start out with a plan about which person she would write about first. In the beginning, it was going to be about lives of women in the Bible, then it branched out to the men also. Many times she would hear a sermon or her sister or a friend would mention a Bible person, and she would then write a poem about that person. Or when writing about a particular person, she would then feel compelled to write about their spouse or someone connected to them. Her information was collected from the Bible and other sources. To make the verses all rhyme and still tell the story was another challenge. Her hope was to make it more interesting for a novice or for young people to understand. Many in this country have turned their backs on God. We have even been told, "This is not a Christian nation." Believers in God have made this country great. Millions of lives have been sacrificed for our freedom. Sadly, as in the book of Jeremiah, we have become a divided country. Pat believes only if we turn back to God will our country remain great and free. May the pleasure of reading these poems about lives of people in the Bible bless each reader and bring to life the story of each Bible character.
THE BEST FOR LAST
This is Pat's seventh book to publish. The first part of the book is fiction, then memoir, about portions of her life, and the last part of the book is fiction.
BEST FOR LAST
IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER
THOUGH THE LESSONS TO LEARN ARE VAST
IF I HAD THE CHANCE TO START ANEW
I WOULD STILL SAVE THE “BEST FOR LAST.”
THERE HAVE BEEN MANY LONELY MOMENTS
THERE HAVE BEEN MANY LESSONS LEARNED
IN A LIFETIME OF SADNESS AND SORROW
FOR YOUR LOVE, SO LONG, I HAVE YEARNED.
BUT, SINCE WE HAVE FOUND EACH OTHER
I’LL FORGET WHAT HAS BEEN IN THE PAST
AND, IF I HAD A CHOICE TO MAKE
I WOULD STILL SAVE THE “BEST FOR LAST.”
I WOUILD STILL SAVE THE “BEST FOR LAST”
I WOULD STILL SAVE THE “BEST FOR LAST”
YES, IF I HAD THE CHOICE TO MAKE
I WOULD STILL SAVE THE “BEST FOR LAST.”

“Life Lived In Poetry” is Pat Morrell-Donnelly’s eleventh (11th) book to publish. The book contains poems Pat wrote beginning in the early nineteen-eighties through 2024. Pat’s poems speak about many of her challenges, wrong choices, and numerous losses. Her poems portray the different phases of Pat’s life, the good and bad years. Just a few of Pat’s diverse collection of poems. You really “Can’t Lock Up A Dream” if you have a burning desire to see that dream realized, and act on bringing it into fruition. It requires action, and believing. “In the strength of your own desire lies the magic power.” For a number of years Pat had planned her “Life Lived In Poetry” book to be her tenth book to publish, but she was awakened with the thought she should publish her “Holiday Celebrations and Much More” for her tenth book. Consequently, the “Life Lived In Poetry” book became her eleventh book to publish. Pat started writing poems over forty-five years ago. Poems just started coming into her head all times of the day and night. Some poems Pat has written in ten or fifteen minutes. The thoughts just flow out of her. Pat has written over eighteen hundred poems. At age ninety-five, Pat’s goal is to get her poems out of her computer into books, so they will not be lost and gone forever when she passes away. Congressmen, and two Georgia Representatives. amazon.com/author/patmorrelldonnelly
Political. Proud of Country. Pats book Poems For Conservatives contains poems mostly in the political vein, most written the last couple of years as radicalism in Washington D. C. has shown its face in such a devastating manner. This type of Government is not what the people of America are about or what they stand for--the vote buying, back room deals, and lack of transparency. Pat's poems reveal her belief that this great country is being taken down a dangerous path, and needs to be stopped. Holiday Celebrations and Much More
is Pat Morrell-Donnelly's tenth book to publish. It contains poems about different celebrations and holidays. There are pictures depicting different events and special occasions. Many of the poems were written starting in the nineteen-eighties and forward. They detail about what was occurring in our country at different times, as well as what was happening in Pat's life. This book would make a beautiful Christmas gift.

Pat recently published her 12th book, #"Poverty's Child in Rhyme."

This book contains poems written through the years about different holidays, Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, Valentine and New Years. There are pictures of Pat's table settings after some of the holiday poems. The New Year's poems were written through the eighties and nineties about each year.
Pat published her eleventh book 9/13/2024. #"Life Lived In Poetry" poems that speak to her losses, successes', failures and difficult times. .
Pat's 12th book #"Poverty's Child in Rhyme" was published 1/3/2025. This book tells about Pat being born and raised during depression days. Until Pat was almost fourteen years of age her family's modest home had no inside bathroom, no electricity or running water. It was a very difficult time for most in that area in those years.
Animals. Cats. Dogs. *"Poems And Stories About Cats, And Dog, And Various "Critters." Pat has written these poems, and stories, over time, about the animal's life, and after some of the animals passed away. This a "self help" book of sorts. It is Pat's hope it will help pre-teen, teen agers, young adults, and even adults, that have lost pets, to know others have lost their pets, how difficult it was, and how they dealt with loss of the pet. It is a blessing that many people rescue pets from Animal Shelters, and organizations like "Rescue Dogs,"
saving the pet from being euthanized.
Poems in the political vein written about events between 2010 and 2022. A great book for future generations to look back on and read about all the events going on in the political world. From Obama to President Trump to Biden/Harris presidency.
Two hundred twenty poems each poem containing the word "love."
Pat’s book,* “The Best For Last,” was started many years ago after the minister of her church suggested she write the book. He was aware of some of what went on in her life. He stated she should write about some of her personal experiences, her successes and failures, and what she learned from them. He suggested she tell about how destructive a verbally abusive relationship can be, and the consequences. The book begins with the main character happy and thankful for her new life with the man of her dreams. Then she thinks back about her childhood, her marriage, divorce, and living with abuse.
